Who we are
From a Point Cook home office to South Yarra.
Dinesh Joshi founded Joshi Lawyers in Point Cook in 2010. His career had begun as a corporate lawyer at Fox Mandal Little & Co, one of India’s leading firms, and continued at a Melbourne CBD practice after he migrated to Australia. He started his own firm to practise law the way he believed it should be practised: with a full understanding of the client, advice that is practical as well as correct, and a lawyer who stays on the matter from beginning to end.
Pallavee Joshi joined him as co-founder and built the family law practice on the same footing. Since then the firm has acted for more than 5,000 clients and settled more than $2 billion in property, opened its main office in South Yarra and kept its original office in Point Cook.
We are commercial and property lawyers at heart, and family lawyers for the moments when a family’s affairs and its assets have to be untangled. We act for individuals, families, investors and owner-led businesses, and our advice is always clear, practical and free of legalese.
The firm now takes on several hundred new matters a year, around seven in ten of them by referral. Many clients have been with us for more than a decade; some have settled twenty or more properties through the firm, and a number of businesses have been with us from their first lease to their sale.
